A parterre lawn is installed in locations that make the first impression: in front of a house fa?ade, along the main alley, in decorative garden areas. Such a lawn is very labor intensive and demanding of growing conditions. It will not grow in shaded areas that do not receive sufficient sunlight or on waterlogged ground. Lawn World has the highest standards in place for its parterre lawn: it has to be high quality, silky, uniform in color, even, and have a low grass stand. Only narrow-leaved and short grass types are used for creating the silky surface. Growing conditions and care. The predominant soils in our region are sod-podzolic soils with low natural fertility, which makes their cultivation and creation of an effective root layer a key task. Most of lawn grass roots are located within a 5 to 10 cm soil layer. Installation of a parterre lawn requires thorough preparation of soil, which include the entire range of cultivation operations. Weeds pose a special concern. It is resolve by deliberately stimulating germination of weed seeds in the soil to later remove them or by applying herbicides. The grass stand height should not exceed 3 centimeters. A parterre lawn requires regular fertilization, daily watering, and regular mowing.
